Reflective Journaling
is a powerful practice that allows you to reflect on yourself and become more self-aware.
By becoming more aware of yourself through understanding your thoughts and habits is what has the ability to completely transform your life.
Keeping a reflective journal
At the Oasis- Office day we integrate keeping a reflective journal before and after meetings.
This is a way to deepen your self-awareness by regularly examining your thought, and behaviors in a structured and intentional way.
By taking time to reflect on your experiences and record your thoughts and insights in a journal, you can gain a deeper understanding of yourself and your reactions to the world around you.
Reflective journaling is a process of recording and analyzing personal experiences, thoughts, and feelings in your journal.
A reflective journal can serve as a tool for self-exploration, helping you to uncover insights into your own motivations, values, and beliefs that may be hidden beneath the surface of your conscious awareness.
We all have thousands of thoughts running around our head on a given day—so many that it can require intention and attention to self-reflect and integrate what you're going through.
Putting pen to paper and giving those thoughts somewhere to go, also known as journaling, is one of the best ways you can get in touch with yourself and learn something about who you are in the process.
How & why to work with journaling prompts
Journaling allows us to explore our own mind, reflect, and discover things about ourselves we may not have known otherwise.
- If you could spend a day doing anything you wanted, what would you do?
- What is your favorite activity or hobby, and why do you love it?
- Who is one person you look up to and why?
- If you could talk to your older self, what would you say?
- What do I know to be true that I didn’t know a year ago?
- What distractions get in the way of being my most productive?
- When do I feel most in tune with myself?
- If someone described me, what would they say?
- What can wait until next week?
- How does every part of my body feel at this moment?
- What would I do today if I loved myself?
